Arslanshah the throne from his older brother Shirzad in 1116 AD, but faced a rebellion from his other brother Bahram Shah, who was supported by the sultan of the Great Seljuq Empire, Ahmad Sanjar. After loosing in battle to his brother, Arslandshah was put to death. Because of the shorness of his reign (under 2 years), his coins are quite rare.
