mzdysn bgy wrhrʾn MRKAn MRKA ʾyrʾn W ʾnyrʾn MNW ctry MN yzdʾn in Middle Persian Pahlavi ("The Mazda-worshipping Lord, Bahram, King of Kings of the Iranians and Non-Iranians, whose essence is from the gods"), Bust of king to right, crown of three large palmettes, surmounted by fluted globe with large fillet // Fire-altar of Sasanian type; right and left, attendant in peculiar attire, holding barsom wands. 30mm, 3.58 grams. This type is sometimes attributed to the Kidarites, but the correct Pehlavi legend suggests these are Kushano-Sassanian coins.
