Ibrahim of Ghazni (r. 1059–1099 CE) was one of the longest-reigning Ghaznavid sultans, restoring stability to the empire after decades of internal conflict and military setbacks. He concluded a lasting peace with the Seljuk Empire, allowing the Ghaznavids to consolidate their core Kingdom around Ghazni. A capable administrator and patron of culture, Ibrahim also led several campaigns into the Indian subcontinent, strengthening Ghaznavid influence there. His peaceful and prosperous reign marked a temporary revival of the dynasty before its eventual decline in the 12th century.
