Judah Aristobulus I was the Hasmonean king and High Priest of Judea, ruling from 104 to 103 BCE. He was the oldest son of John Hyrcanus and an older brother of Alexander Jannaeus. He took the throne by locking up his mother and brothers, and he expanded his kingdom to the north. His short rule ended when he died from a painful illness.
