Four punchmarked symbols symbols (elephant left, plough with two bulls, woven basket, a pinched rectangle shape) / Blank. 17x14mm, 1.22 grams. Rajgor's "Punchmarked coins of the early historic India" series 2 (wrongly listed as 1/4 karshapana) 

Unpublished type, closely related to Rajgor's series 1 and 2 of Andhra. The weight corresponds to 6 mashakas or 1/4 vimshatika, too heavy for a 1/4 karshapana weight (of around 0.85 grams).

Extremely rare.

Ancient country of Andhra was located between the Godavari and the Krishna rivers. The capital city was Dhanakataka, modern Bezwada. They issued silver karshapanas and fractions, all extremely rare and poorly studied.
