This is a rare type with a visible Saka Era date (327 SE = 405 AD) - "320" are partially obscured, while "7" are very clear. Coins of Chandragupta with a readable date are extremely rare.

Chandragupta minted coins in the style of the Western Satraps, whom he conquered. These coins circulated in Gujarat (the area previously controlled by the Western Satraps) and were of the same size, weight and style as the old coins. Coins of Chandragupta are rare.
