Commonly called "Banana Money". During the Japanese Occupation of Malaya The British Special Operations Executive (SOE) and The American Office of Strategic Services (OSS) produced forgeries in order to subvert the Japanese Military in Malaya by inflating the currency. This piece is not an Allied forgery, though - it is an original Malayan banknote.
