Javanese legend around hole: Pangeran ad(i)pat(i) (?) // Blank. 25mm, 2.37 grams. Mitchiner WOI #3963; Numista 76366.
Rare type.
The legend has not been satisfactorily read. Mitchiner (2012) read the coin inscription as corrupted "sultan siyak," Perdana (2023) proposes "pangéran ad(i)pat(i)" as a better reading. Among surrounding Sumatran states, only Jambi has clear track record of producing Javanese inscribed coins while there is little corroborating evidence for Siak origin.
