The 1967 Soviet commemorative 1-ruble coin was issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution of 1917. Its reverse depicts Lenin with his arm raised before the hammer and sickle, accompanied by the dates 1917–1967, while the obverse bears the Soviet state emblem and denomination; it was struck in copper-nickel and issued in large numbers for circulation.
