Philoxenos (c. 100–95 BCE) was an Indo-Greek king who ruled portions of the northwestern Indian subcontinent, probably including parts of the Punjab and Gandhāra. He is known almost entirely from his extensive coinage, which includes bilingual silver drachms and tetradrachms as well as bronze issues. His coins bear the Greek title BASILEŌS ANIKĒTOU PHILOXENOU, “of King Philoxenos the Invincible,” with corresponding Kharoṣṭhī legends. His precise dynastic relationships remain uncertain.
