Strato I (c. 125–110 BCE) was an Indo-Greek king who ruled principally in the eastern Punjab, probably succeeding Menander I after a period of regency by Queen Agathokleia. His bilingual Greek-Kharoṣṭhī silver coinage continued Menander’s characteristic type of Athena Alkidemos, reflecting strong dynastic continuity. Strato appears to have maintained Indo-Greek power in the eastern territories while the western regions increasingly fragmented among rival rulers.
