Al-Nasir al-din Allah Amir al-muminin ((Caliph) al-Nasir al-din Allah, leader of the faithful) / al-Dunya sa / ˜a fajaaha / taea (Life in (this) world is short, spend it in obedience (to God)) in three lines. 18mm, 1.92 grams. Singatullina #7. SKU T1807-52544

The copper coins of Batu were struck in the name of the dead Abbasid Caliph al-Nasir  (1180-1225). These copper coins seem to have been struck with the dies used in striking silver dirhams in Bulghar, thus the attribution to this mint. Copper coins of Batu are rare.
