Fascinating coin - seems to be overstruck on an older type. A lot of the undertype is visible on both sides, and the undertype can be identified as a pentachalkon of Azes I (Senior-100.10, type with elephant and bull). Very rare and interesting - the overstruck coins from this period are of importance, as they help to sequence the Indo-Scythian rulers and coin types.
Azes II was king of Bactria from 35 BC to 5 AD. He is often associated with one of the three "Magi", the "Wise Men" or "Kings", who visited Jesus on the night of his birth according to the Gospel of Matthew.
