Parthavarman (r. 905–921, restored 934–935 CE) was a king of Kashmir during a period of intense political instability following the decline of the Karkota legacy. He ruled twice, with a long interruption caused by palace coups and factional struggles. Parthavarman was initially deposed by rival claimants backed by powerful nobles, but he managed to regain the throne briefly in 934. His second reign was short-lived, and he was again overthrown and killed in 935, illustrating the chronic instability and dominance of court factions in early 10th-century Kashmir.
