Cilician Armenia (Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia) was a principality and later a kingdom in todays south Turkey with its center between Taurus and Amonos mountains. Founded around 1080 by Rubenid dynasty, its importance rose during the crusades as ally of western knights. With Crusader states demise, its importance fell gradually, until it came to an ultimate end with Mamluk conquest of Cilicia in 1375.
