Crowned bust right / Trident, Brahmi legend Sri Yashaditya around. 12mm, 0.56 grams. Uncertain mint in northern Sindh. W. Pieper, New Types of Early Medieval Silver Portrait Coins from Northern Pakistan, Journal of the Oriental Numismatic Society No. 181, 2004, pp 17-20. Fishman/Todd "The Silver Damma" #Y10.

The "Yashaditya" series coins are usually considered to be Hunnic, but it is very likely incorrect. The name means "Glory of the Sun-God", and is probably a biruda of Dahir, Hindu King of Chach in Sindh and Punjab, the King from Chachnameh who was defeated and killed by the invaded Muslims. This series was extensively studied and expanded in Fishman/Todd's "The Silver Damma" (https://www.numismall.com/acc/A.Fishman-I.Todd-The-Silver-Damma.html) in 2018.
