Monogrammed retrograde ḥḍr (𐩢𐩳𐩧) in South Arabian (the drawing is shown below) // wtr (𐩥𐩩𐩧) in South Arabian below a curved line. 9mm, 0.20 grams. Cf. Zeno 315334; Cf. CAF 3.17iii (different monograms listed); cf. Huth 410 (different monogram with "𐩧" left), cf. 436-46 (later scyphate series in the name of 'Amdān Bayān which uses this monogram); Leu Web 6, 389; CNG E-351, 387 (realized 240$ + fees).

Nice quality example for this very crudely struck coinage, better than the most, very rare, especially this nice.

Apparently unpublished with this monogram, though a few specimens are now known from various sales and are listed on Zeno. This type is variously attributed to Karib'īl Watār Yuhan'im or 'Amdān Bayān Yahaqbiḍ, based on the monograms found on their epigraphic coins. This rare type is very unusual, and is very different from the normal common Himyarite coinage. It is probably a provincial issue, or coinage struck at a lesser mint.
