Stylized head right, aMDaN BaYiN and a monogram around // Bust right, possible letters around. 11mm, 0.57 grams. Probably Raydan mint. Huth "Coinage of the Caravan Kingdom" #432; Cf. Zeno 127068.

Amdan Bayin is not the name of the ruler, but a honorific titles, and coins were struck with this title by different rulers for for several centuries at the beginning. Vocalization of titles is uncertain, as is their chronology and dates of reign to which belong. Proposed typological chronology is relative and tentative. Absolute chronology, based on metrology, iconography, style and palaeography, could be done in the future. This coin is from the later period, as it is quite debased, while the earlier coins were struck in good silver. These late debased coins are much more rare than the earlier silver coins.
