Hebrew legend (either "Shenath shtaim" (year 2) or "Shenath Shalosh" (Year Three) around amphora / Hebrew legend "Cheruth Zion" (Freedom of Zion) around vine leaf with small branch and tendril. Each coin is 15mm-16mm, around 2-3 grams. Hendin (old) 661, 664.

After 60 years of rule by Roman procurators, the Jews rebelled against the might of Rome, and (amazingly) inflicted a number of defeats on Romans. The prutah offered below was minted by rebels - they are dated and bear a Hebrew inscriptions "freedom of Zion" and were found during the excavation of Massada, thus being known as "Massada Prutahs"
