Kai Da / Blank. Local mints in Hunan? 24mm, 3.29 grams. Hartill 15.114?.

Very poorly made coin, with only "Kai Da" visible (the other characters not visible).

These coins were very crudely cast in small local foundries and are among the crudest and least attractive of all ancient Chinese coins. They were made during the The Ten Kingdoms period of division in China. They are generally found in southern China, in the area which belonged to the Southern Han and Chu Kingdoms. More precise attribution of these coins is impossible at this point.
