Macedonian shield with thunderbolt in the centre, surrounded by five crescents, five dots between each of them / B-A to left and right of Macedonian helmet, bow? below. 16mm, 4.55 grams. Pella mint. Price 418.
Some Macedonian bronzes, probably minted soon after the death of Alexander the Great, do not show the name or the monogram of the ruler. The B-A might be a posthumous reference to Alexander or perhaps to Antigonus Gonatas, who might have minted these coins.
