Unlisted pointed foot spade, ca.350-250 BC, Zhao State, Warring States, China

Regular price US$ 695.00

Shipping calculated at checkout.

Three Chinese characters Beizi jin / Er (“2”) in the middle. 56mm tall, 6.5 grams. Hartill 3.60 var (full “beizi”, without the number on the reverse).

Beizi is a town in the ancient Zhao state, this coin was cast there.

Unique variety, with abreviated character zi (on the left), without the lower component. Does not seem to be published in the standard references, the only one I’ve seen. Rare with the series number on the reverse. There is a repair on the right side of the spade's head.
