AE jital, Khutlugh Khwaja (c.1298-99), Islamic Great Mongols, Chaghatayid Khans

Uighur legend Qutlugh/Khwaja/sikkat ("coin of Qutlugh Khwaja") // Uncertain tamgha or word in a circle (sometimes read as the name "Duwa" or (certainly incorrectly) as "'adl"), Sharada legend around "Sri PaDiShaH ABaDaLa" ("Padishah 'Abdallah"?). 15mm, 3.56 grams. Ghazna mint?. Numista #153666; Zeno #38018, Nyamaa -; Album A1987.4; Tye 343.2.

This type is attributed to Khutlugh Khwaja, but it is confusing. The Sharada (or Nagari) inscription referring to "Abdallah" - this was the name of the former governor Abdullah, whom Qutlugh Khwaja replaced as a leader of the Qara'unas in the Ghazni region. Abdullah was the son of Mochi, who was a grandson of Chagatai Khan.
