The son of Alauddin Khalji, he came to power after the death of his father and the fall of Malik Kafur, who had briefly dominated the court. Mubarak Shah reversed some of Alauddin’s harsher economic and military policies, restoring privileges to the nobility and ending strict market controls. His reign, however, was short and marked by growing court intrigue and luxury. In 1320 he was assassinated by his favorite, Khusrau Khan, whose brief usurpation soon collapsed, paving the way for Ghiyath al-Din Tughluq to seize power and establish the Tughluq dynasty.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"NumisMallstore","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50905238405435,"sku":"x451-60124","price":20.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0447\/1750\/6710\/files\/w60124.jpg?v=1767996479","url":"https:\/\/www.numismall.com\/products\/square-silver-8-gani-of-mubarak-1316-1320-719ah-1319-delhi-sultanate-india-3","provider":"NumisMall","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
