He is known almost entirely from his extensive coinage, which includes bilingual silver drachms and tetradrachms as well as bronze issues. His coins bear the Greek title BASILEŌS ANIKĒTOU PHILOXENOU, “of King Philoxenos the Invincible,” with corresponding Kharoṣṭhī legends.
