His bilingual silver coinage, with Greek and Kharoṣṭhī legends, commonly depicts his portrait or the king on horseback, with Athena Alkidemos on the reverse. Hippostratos appears to have resisted the expanding Indo-Scythians but was eventually defeated by Azes I, after which much of his territory passed under Saka control. His coinage provides particularly clear evidence of the transition from Indo-Greek to Indo-Scythian rule in northwestern India.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"NumisMall","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51646821728571,"sku":"x3410-61829","price":52.5,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0447\/1750\/6710\/files\/w71724.jpg?v=1788391254","url":"https:\/\/www.numismall.com\/products\/bronze-square-unit-of-hippostratos-c-65-55-bce-punjab-indo-greeks-of-bactria","provider":"NumisMall","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
