Leo facing right, DN LEONI-S PF A AVG / SALVS R-PVRLCA, Emperor standing right, holding standard and globe, treading down on a prostrate captive, CON in exergue. Brown patina. RIC 664 (corr.), very rare. Stock #20349(w).Notes: A great rarity, with only a handful of other known examples. Rated R4 in RIC. Superb example, showing the clear obverse inscription. The obverse inscription given in RIC - DN LEONI-S PFR AVG (L23)is wrong. The letter that follows PF in not R, but an A. This coin is without doubt the best known coin of this type. Extremely rare and of numismatic significance (how often does one get to correct RIC? :-)
