Very rare! Silver drachm, Kidarites, ca.400-425 AD (?), inspired by Varahran IV (338-399 AD), Kabul mint (?)

Bust of Varahran facing right, wearing an elaborate crown, blundered Pahlavi legend / Altar and two attendants. 31mm, 4.12 grams. Kabul mint(?). Göbl Hunnen Em. 30 (Iranian Huns Intermediate Group), Mitchiner ACW 1322 (as Varhran III Kushanshah).

This coin had a small break no the edge - the broken piece was re-attached.

These beautiful, but very obscure, coins are variousely attributed wither to Kidarites (as imitations of Varahran IV) or to Kashano-Sassanians as issued by Varahran III Kushanshah
