Five punch-marked symbols / Small bankers' mark in shape of three humans (or kartikeyas) holding hands on the reverse. Round flat silver planchet, 15mm, 3.4 grams. Pataliputra mint. Gupta/Hardaker ISPC VI IV A 18 (#543); Mitchiner ACW 4203ff.

Salisuka Maurya was a ruler of the Indian Mauryan dynasty. He ruled from 215-202 BCE. He was the successor of Samprati Maurya. The Yuga Purana section of the Gargi Samhita mentions him as wicked, quarrelsome, unrighteous ruler, who cruelly oppressed his subjects.
