This coin comes from a collection of Kuninda silver drachms, covering all known and a number of previousely unpublished types. Because of the obscurity of these coins, itis difficult to find any comprehensive information about them. While all these silver drachms have similar inscriptions on both sides and an identical design, the design and location of the control marks on obverse (and a standard onreverse) can vary. Some types were published previousely - Boppearachchi reportstwo types (one of them probably misinterpreted), Mitchiner (Ancient & Classical World) reports five varieties, and most other catalogues report only one or two varieties. I have listed 16 types (and one probably fictional type), at least 8 of which were never previousely published.
