RARE! Imitative silver sharukhi (light tanka) of Babur (1525-1530), Kabul mint?, Mughal Empire
Medieval imitation contemporary with the original issues. The mint is completely garbled (Kabul?), the remnants of the date are visible on obverse (924 AH?) / Hexafoil and the name of Babur inside, titles in the outer margin. 23mm, 4.23 grams.
Very interesting and rare imitative piece of a rare type. The size and weight is correct, but the piece exhibits very crude calligraphy. The piece seems to be made of good silver, so it is likely to be a jeweler's copy.
