Imitation of large Sassanian silver drachms of Khushrau (7th cent. AD). Very stylized head of Khushrau facing right, degraded inscriptions/ Stylized fire altar with attendants on both sides. 17mm, 4.0 grams, thick and made of good silver. Early issue (not debased), EF, in an excellent condition, large flan! Mitchener 422.

These coins were minted in Northern India by the Rajput dynasties of Saurashtra and Gujarat and imitated the earlier Sassanian drachms
